| Don't let those dreamy eyes fool you for one moment! Tornado is packed with "Turkitude" - attitude (I AM the best!), intelligence and boundless energy. She follows me almost everywhere I go, insisting that she must either check my work or do it for me. This charming, elegant lady rarely rests because the other moms and babies need supervising too! Tornado taught my daughter Jessi how to play tag and hide-and-seek (with a cat). She'll come bounding into the room, take a gentle pounce at Jessi's ankles and then fly off. If she hides, it's hide and seek on her terms. If she starts catapulting around the room, it's tag. And the only way that Jessi can tag her back is to hide and wait for Tornado to come peeking around a corner. More often than not though, Tornado somehow manages to sneak up on Jessi and tag her again just for the pure joy of it! Tornado's favorite chore is to carry Beanie Babies around in her mouth as offerings for her kittens and others. And we are sure she's trying to get someone to want them because she MEOWLS (imagine a loud meow with a huge mouthful of stuffed animal!) the entire time she does this. She'll even wrestle stuffed animals twice her size around just for the sport of it! This beautiful lady is absolutely hysterical and a total joy to have around. Although she is a gorgeous Turkish Angora and easily Grand Champion quality, she is our alpha female and showing her has always been problematic. As busy as all TAs are, Tornado takes her many duties so seriously that she delegates eating to a very low priority. Unless she is pregnant or nursing a litter (in which case eating does become a duty she takes very seriously), she is more often than not a tad underweight. And I've finally accepted that she really doesn't like showing either because it's just plain boring for her. She is so happy here at home where she has so much she needs to do! | One of these days, I'll make the time to edit Tornado's pupils in the photo above left and those below. But even those glowing orbs can't hide how gorgeous her eyes are or how intelligent the cat is that peers out from within!
