Our sweet Rosie is all grown up (at least on the outside!).  These pictures were all taken by Jim Childs in May 2009.  Although these pictures really are great, there are a few things "wrong" with them that I just have to mention here - not Jim's fault, but Rosie's.  For starters, Rosie is one of the many Turks who just has to puff up her whisker pads when she is all keyed up over a toy or a bug.  She really does have a lovely wedge!  And last, but most definitely not least, she used to have such a great tail.  Not that it's anything to complain about here, but Rosie burned off the bulk of the feathers on the underside of her tail by insisting on helping Jessica cook up a pot of noodles just a few weeks before we started showing her in Championship.  It's a good thing that fur doesn't actually catch fire and go up in flames.  It just tends to smolder and STINK!  We honestly didn't even know she'd lit herself up until I smelled her burnt fur.  Oh well, at least she did in fact have feathers to burn with enough left over to still be show worthy.  And somehow Jim did manage to get what's left to look nice and full in most of these pictures!  I couldn't make up my mind which of Jim's pictures I liked most, so I decided to just leave out those I liked least.  Click HERE to go the page with the pictures we took of Rosie as she grew up.  Enjoy!
