| We are so proud to announce the arrival of this fabulous, but confusing litter. Confusing because we had yet another first in our home - a litter where the first two kittens were born on May 30th and the last of the three about 28 hours later on June 1st (skipping over the entirety of May 31st). I was sure that Breeze had another kitten in there, but gave up hovering over her when she hadn't had any contractions for over 8 hours thinking that she just had a (very) full bowel instead... only to discover her wonderful gift of the third kitten loudly howling her head off for a nipple early in the morning on the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I have a hard enough time when we have litters where the kittens are born in the middle of the night with two birthdates shared between the littermates since we have to register whole litters with just one date. But with the logical choice here being to split the difference and pick a birthdate for the litter on which none of the kittens was actually born is quite the conundrum. However, we've already had an April Fools litter this year and another which was born on my older brother's birthday, so it seems fitting that we grab hold of yet another Holiday and chose Memorial Day as the registered birthdate for this litter. Since I know that the real birthdate of our furries is as important to their new humans as are the birthdates of all other family members, any/all concerned parties should take note of the fact that the registrations for all three kittens will be incorrect. The Mad Hatter would surely have a great time wishing these three a "very happy unbirthday"! For the record, both the black male and black female were born on May 30th whilte the actual birthdate for the white female is June 1st. At just a few weeks old, these are without a doubt the most affectionately mobile kittens we've ever had, running to our voices and demanding tummy tickles and cuddles with theirs! We hope to have some early pictures coming soon... |
