| The two pictures above were taken on June 7th shortly after Goose came home from an extended honeymoon. He has a bit of stud tail in these pictures as he hadn't had a bath in many months, but what a handsome boy he grew up to be! Please scroll down for pictures of this fabulous fur friend after he had a bath! We started to show Goose toward getting his Grand Champion title, but he decided to put on a few pounds over the first few weeks in August. Although he beat his gorgeous sister Minue and our lovely Saphira in most rings at the first show where they were all earning their winners' ribbons to become Champions (even beating another Champion as an Open in most of those rings!), those extra pounds pretty much foiled our plans to Grand him before he went off to his new home in Russia. And yes, he's in Russia now where he will start his career as a stud in earnest. And what a great stud he will be... Only a whole male with an amazing temperament could come home to us at 11 months old after spending many months as the only male (while on his honeymoon) and fit right back in with the group of boys loose in our basement. Not only did Goose charm our other boys so well that they never raised a hackle, but he turned right around and went to his first show ever at the beginning of August without missing a beat. It's practically unheard of to show any cat for the very first time at 12+ months old and have them behave so well - he was a bit tense, but not a single hiss or grr as he allowed complete strangers (the judges) to handle him in such a bizarre environment. He showed well enough to earn Best of Breed as an Open over a seasoned Champion! I just can't say enough about this wonderful boy's temperament! This said, it made purrfect sense to offer him to our friends in Russia who were looking for a new white male with outstanding earset and overall show type. And yes, the immediate report back from Russia was/is that Goose arrived as everything he is, making bread and happy to be in yet another new home. He is owned by Svetlana Ponomareva who will be raising Turkish Angoras and will be shared with Svetlana Frisk of AlandJo cattery in Moscow. We miss Goose A LOT, but he is absolutely the kind of cat we believe all breeders should share with one another for the betterment of this wonderful breed around the world. We will remember Goose fondly as we raise his kittens here in our home and look forward to hearing about his future exploits in Russia! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The only problem with Goose is that it's become totally impossible to get a decent picture of him! He refuses to stop kneading his feet to even play with a toy when we're with him, so we just don't have any body shots of him for you after his first show bath. But nothing can hide that fabulous tail he has, or that wonderful refinement and overall type. He really is a fantastic cat inside and out.
