Luna is getting on in years for a breeding female. At six years old, this could be her last litter. She has had gorgeous, healthy, happy kittens to date. But it's always about what is best for our girls when it comes to breeding them or not. This in mind, I just couldn't retire Luna without trying for a Merlin litter. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Luna is in fact pregnant with a due date of around July 14th, kittens she could raise with Gracie's litter (above). But she seemed to come back into heat for a few days right around June 15th for a due date of August 18th for a litter she could raise with Tornado's (below). One way or another, this is an active dream litter in my mind's eye and Luna does seem willing to cooperate. We've only ever had one litter of Merlin's and don't know if he carries dilute/blue or not. But we know for a fact that Luna does and are drooling at the prospect of more gorgeous blues like Eclipse. But Luna's whites like Breeze are legendary and her blacks like Cinderella are awesome too! Maybe a silver this time?!

Tornado and Merlin definitely bred with a due date right around August 17th. Tornado blessed us with one of the most gorgeous silvers we've ever had from this same breeding about three years ago. Since Tornado is getting on for a breeding female at eight years old, this may well be her last litter. But Jessi reminds me that I say this every time we breed my lovely, crazy Nadio. And she just keeps giving us the silliest, most wonderful kittens in the world. One way or another, this is a much anticipated repeat breeding and I'll be on pins and needles until the day arrives!
