I can't keep cutting Jessi out of the pictures!
Cinderella at 15 months. I tried to adjust the tint, but it ruined the picture!  See below and know that Cinders earned her name for that gorgeous black pelt of hers ...
Cinderella at 15 months old and out of coat due to raising her litter.  To add insult to injury, we also cut the fur off our mom's bellies so it won't matt with sticky milk when they are nursing their kittens.  But nothing can ruin this fabulous lady's exquisite refinement and awesome good looks!
Now that I finally have a page up for her, I can stop assuring folks that Cinderella is every bit as beautiful as her gorgeous sister Breeze!  We were showing so many cats and kittens last winter and spring (including Breeze) that we decided not to try to get Cinders her Grand Champion (GC) title at that time.  So, we bred her to a fabulous house guest of ours, CH Gillies Bacardi Big Apple, late in May.  And Cinderella absolutely amazed us with 5 of the most gorgeous kittens we've ever had!  Although we may wind up showing Cinders in order to get that GC title she deserves, we've also been toying with the idea of Granding all 5 of the kittens in her first litter.  Females can earn a title called Destinguished Merit (DM) by producing 5 Grand Champion kittens in their breeding career.  The DM title means so much in the CFA that it is given the same "value" as the GC title.  And many breeders value the DM title even more than that of GC because beauty really can be only skin deep.  But when you have a gorgeous cat that consistantly produces equally gorgeous kittens, that's what makes a great breeding program.  And the fact that all 5 of the kittens in Cinders' first litter are GC quality is absolutely amazing.  I would be remiss if I didn't give wonderful Bacardi his due too!  And I hope to get a page up for him soon.

Cinderella is every bit as great a mother as she is an adored family member.  She dotes on her babies and loves to play with them too.  Although I honestly did not want to keep a black cat for our breeding program since we're working on silvers and light colors, my daughter Jessi refused to let me part with this girl.  And as much as I have a special "bond" with some of our kittens, I had to honor Jessi's instinctual bond with this lovely lady.  Go Jessi!  Go Cinders!
