The photos above were taken when Scurio was 6 and then 7 weeks old and the one below when he was 5 months old.  Scroll further down for more recent pictures.
I don't know which of the two cuties to the left is cutest, my daughter Jessica at 8 1/2 years old or Chiaroscuro at 6 months old.  I just wish I could reach back in time and hug the both of them all the more then for who they have become today!  They're both still just as huggable, so I'm still the luckiest woman alive!
The two photos immediately below were taken when Chiaroscuro was one year old in 2005 and those further below more recently in 2010.
Our own Gildethros Chiaroscuro is all grown up!  The picture on our home page was taken when he was just barely seven-weeks-old.  It is well worth noting that most Turkish Angora kittens take a bit longer than that for their ears to go up nice and high and to start showing the refinement that makes them a distinctly unique breed.  But this handsome fellow does everything in a HUGE way and you just gotta love those kitten pix!

Scurio's color is often referred to as "neither-nor"; neither a black smoke nor a silver tabby.  His overall appearance is too light on his body for a black smoke.  But his nose leather and paw pads are black so he is not a silver tabby either.  Although colored Turkish Angoras are gaining in popularity in leaps and bounds, we still have challenges showing them.  Especially when we have a color like this that won't conform.  This said, we have retired Chiaroscuro from the show circuit with only his Champion title.  But he is Grand Champion qaulity in every way!  Indeed, we haven't met a person yet who doesn't love his color exactly as it is.

Chiaroscuro has a second color detail which is fascinating and beautiful.  His eyes, which appear gold in these pictures, turn to a brilliant green when he is excited.  Although only white Turkish Angoras are registered with an eye color, we have a new eye color classification called gold/green since many of these golden eyed cats do have exquisite green eyes too!

Good looks aside, we love this boy for his fabulous temperament more than anything else!  And this will always be the the #1 goal of our breeding program!
