We've been calling this wonderful girl Baby Doll pretty much since the day she was born.  For those of you who don't know what a "baby doll" is... Well, it's a descriptive term used to describe the look of what the Cat Fancy now considers "old-fashioned" Persians who look far more like their "angora" ancestors than the modern Persians of today.  Although Baby Doll really does (and did!) look considerably more like the Turkish Angora she is than a Baby Doll, one look at her itty-bitty baby pictures above and left will clue you in as to why/how our adorable Baby got her nick-name.  Although her ears were already far too big and pointed at only 5 weeks old, the overall roundness of her face and her short nose (for a Turkish Angora!) really did set her apart from her peers in

overall appearance.  Totally cute though and a genuine "keeper" on her color alone.  Better yet, her type has gotten better and better, and her color continues to get lighter, brighter and more shaded.  But most important, she is an absolute love of a kitten/cat reflecting the best of both her gentle-natured mother Silhouette and her delight of a father Goose.  The photos above were taken at about 5 weeks old and those below when Baby Doll was about 4 months old.  Scroll further down for pictures of her as an adult...

The one photo below was taken when Baby was about a year and a half old.  Out of coat and spikey looking as she was raising her first litter, at least her color looks great!
