| Our adoptions page is reserved for older Turkish Angora kittens and any of Our Cats that we plan to retire. Although we do ship younger kittens at 4 months old, shipping is at best a necessary evil. This said, older kittens and cats do become more set in their ways and less resilient. So some of these kitties may not be OK to ship. But no two cats or kittens are the same, so please feel free to inquire. All of the Turkish Angoras on this page will be placed neutered or spayed. These gorgeous felines don't owe us a dime... more than anything we just want to find them fantasitic forever homes. | I hate to keep whole males whole too long. It really is best to retire them when they are still young at heart and flexible enough to take on a new identity. This said, Chiaroscuro has been neutered and is now racing around the house enjoying his freedom again! As much as it breaks my heart to know we'll never have any more Scurio babies, it's totally worth it to have him entertaining us as he zips here and there keeping tabs on all of his girls and playing with "the gang". Many people worry about adopting a former breeding male because they think he might spray. Rest assured that this is last thing our wonderful Scurio would ever do. Even males who are neutered young and never were allowed to breed will often "mate" with females in heat. Believe or not, some females (whole and spayed!) will also do this. But Chiaroscuro won't even "entertain" the girls no matter how hard they tease him, much less spay. He just thinks the girls want to play (and tries to get them to play) when he comes running to answer their calls when they are in heat! He really is a super cat and we're in no hurry to part with him. But we just can't keep too many neuters/spays and continue to breed. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
